White chocolate snow mix
I was on a Christmas candy making spree and decided to try a new combination, and there came the birth of White chocolate snow mix. This was inspired by my friend Chef Alli's harvest mix, and I made a few winter additions including white chocolate and powdered sugar. This mix is great for parties or to hand out to friends or family as a gift!
1/2 c Hildebrand cinnamon butter (you can use regular butter and 1 t of cinnamon if you are not fortunate enough to have Hildebrand's)
3/4 c honey
6 c cereal & pretzel mix (I use corn chex and pretzels, but you can use a a combination of any cereals)
2 c peanuts (can substitute with other nuts)
1 c white chocolate chips
1 c powdered sugar
Melt your butter and honey in a small saucepan, set aside to let cool slightly. Mix the cereals, pretzels, peanuts and white chocolate chips in a large bowl. Make sure you've got room to mix! If the bowl isn't big enough, you can split it into two. Pour the mixture over the cereal, pretzels, peanuts and white chocolate chips.
Cover your counter or cookie sheets with foil or wax paper. Lay the mixture out on sheets or covered counter to let it firm up.
After the mixture has cooled, separate it into 2-3. gallon bags and add your powdered sugar across the three bags. Shake the bag so the mixture is coated. Now, your white chocolate snow mix is ready!
